Over at Bitesize Bio, Suzanne Kennedy blogs about networking your way to a better career, and specifically how she uses two sites: LinkedIn and Labroots. "Networking is critical because biotech and bioscience in general are very small worlds," she writes. "The people you are meeting and working with today may very well be the ones that help you get a job 10 years from now." She likes LinkedIn in part because "a very large number of recruiters" use it, and also because of its recommendation feature. Kennedy says that Labroots, a new networking site that targets academic users, is "really cool" and offers lots of widgets to play with.
