Teaching With Wikis

This semester, Sandra Porter is experimenting with using a wiki in the classroom. Before, she says, wikis were sort of unfriendly to use with clunky user interfaces. "Pbwiki has changed all that," she writes. She's chosen Pbwiki mostly because it's easier to use than Mediawiki or Kwiki, and she likes the fact that it handles text so easily and makes it easy to link to outside pages. In her post at Discovering Biology in a Digital World, she takes her readers through her process of making worksheets that only individual students can see.
