Still Looking for the Hallmark Card, Though

National Medical Laboratory Professionals Week is underway — it began the 24th of April and ends the 30th. The week, sponsored by American Society for Clinical Pathology and the College of American Pathologists, aims to recognize the role that lab professional play in health care and includes a few competitions. ASCP announced the winners of its Taking Center Stage contest that recognizes teams that worked to "achieve extraordinary goals or to provide outstanding levels of customer service," and those winners include the American Red Cross, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and Deaconess Hospital Lab, among others. And CAP has two ongoing contests, one of which could win your lab $2,011. If you're looking for a more hands-on contest, Artel is hosting a Pipetting Olympics.
