Sad News from NCI

GTO is sorry to report that Bob Welch, who directed operations at the National Cancer Institute's Core Genotyping Facility, died last Saturday at the age of 35. An announcement on the facility's website remembers Welch as "an inspiring and energetic leader" who was "well known in the genomics research community."
