In 2005, John Ioannidis wrote an article in PLoS Medicine outlining how many research articles contain false data. Now, this article in Seed magazine says that paper led to an explosion of research into whether most published research results are accurate. The causes, it says, are misunderstanding statistics, selective reporting, and academic bias. But are those findings accurate?
