'Reproducibility' Is Just Another Word for Boring

The Genetic Future blog features this post from Daniel about an article from BMC Medical Genetics. Scientists studied 10 variants that have been implicated in adult obesity and found -- voila! -- absolutely no link to body mass index in a large study of children. Daniel says there are a few explanations for this (aside from the obvious, that the variants have been inappropriately linked to obesity), including that obesity in kids and adults doesn't stem from the same thing.
