Everyone knows that postdocs are miserably underpaid, and CNN says it's due to the influx of foreign students. Lou Dobbs asks why so many visas are still being handed out. At the Daily Transcript, Alex Palazzo says Dobbs sees the right problem, but has the wrong answer. Palazzo says that most postdoc salaries are set by NIH guidelines. "So if you really care about the future of science in the US, Lou Dobbs, then lobby the government to change the guidelines issued by the NIH and other governmental agencies," he writes.
