Now He Can Add 'Visionary' to His Resume

Here's someone who's celebrating during Open Access week. Utne Reader announced its list of "50 Visionaries Who Are Changing Your World," which includes John Wilbanks, executive director of Science Commons. (The list also honors the Dalai Lama, so he's in good company.) Utne describes Wilbanks' effort at Science Commons as one "to spur innovation and discovery by making scientific research and resources easier to share." The article quotes Wilbanks as saying, “We have a network of knowledge. ... We need to liberate it enough that it can actually take off.”
