At Retraction Watch, Ivan Oransky notes that "neither seven retractions, nor being forced to resign, nor malpractice settlements (and an ongoing case) keeps former Duke oncologist Anil Potti from publishing papers." Potti's new paper appears in the Annals of Surgical Oncology, and is a review of developing gene expression signatures to determine cancer phenotypes. Oransky adds that he has contacted the journal editors and the paper's first author for more information about the lag time between the article's submission in May 2010 and its appearance in the journal in November.
