The Q&A delves into what she's up to, how synthetic biology can do more good than harm, the potential for regulation, and how to get kids interested in a career in not just biotech but synthetic biology. She says: "One of the things that I love about synthetic biology and biological engineering is that there's a huge capacity to inspire young people to be creative and to get into science. And I think we're seeing a lot of that with young folks who are interested in synthetic biology and trying to figure out 'how do I get into this?'"
