This month, PLoS Computational Biology and the International Society for Computational Biology begin publishing a new series of how-to articles for people who want to learn more about new areas in computational biology, points out Pierre Lindenbaum at his blog, Yokofakun. The “Getting Started in…” series will introduce the topic, highlight important issues, and direct readers to relevant books and articles. The first of the series, by Dana Farber's Xiaole Shirley Liu, covers tiling microarrays.
