If Only It Were So Simple for Us to Resist Them

It's a good thing the genomics community has been so involved in studies of tuberculosis and Yersinia pestis. Recent news reports indicate that while overall rates of TB are hitting a plateau, a drug-resistant strain of the disease is emerging. Meanwhile, scientists have found a multiple drug-resistant form of the plague as well. Looks like we'll need every tool in the arsenal to keep up.
