Funding for new biotech start-ups is available for well-prepared companies, say Karl Handelsman and Steve Burrill at BIO, according to Wired Science. "I think that there is money available for new companies, but they have to come with a perfect business plan, perfect area to innovate in and a very strong management team," says CMEA Capital's Handelsman. Burrill adds that companies will have to try new strategies to make a go of their business, such as commercializing drugs in countries other than the United States.
