A Senate panel has some harsh words for the National Science Foundation, stemming from its handling of the Internet porn scandal. A report accompanying the bill that includes NSF's 2010 budget, approved last week, points out "systemic workforce management problems" that led to "a hostile work environment," reports Science Insider. The appropriations committee also directs NSF to examine how it monitors large grants given to new awardees.
