Francis Eberle is no longer the executive director of the National Science Teachers Association, reports ScienceInsider, adding that the move "caught science educators by surprise." Eberle, who was a secondary school science teacher, took the lead at NSTA in 2008. Gerald Wheeler, who retired from leading the group in 2008, has returned to serve as its interim director.
