The US House Committee on Energy and Commerce will be investigating accusations made by eight FDA scientists against the agency, reports the New York Times. The scientists say that managers at the agency have "corrupted the scientific review of medical devices" and have had devices approved when the data is ambiguous. "These allegations are deeply concerning and we intend to uncover whether any FDA activity has compromised the health and safety of American consumers," committee chair John Dingell (D-MI) says.
