This wire story reports that a 2002 study that suggested adult stem cells from bone marrow could differentiate into a variety of tissues may have contained some mistakes. A panel convened by the University of Minnesota said the way Catherine Verfaillie’s lab at identified these tissues was “significantly flawed” and the interpretation of that data was then “potentially incorrect."
