General Patent Corporation said this week that it has named Ed Gomez as chief IP counsel.
Prior to joining GPC, Gomez was president of Furnace Brook, a patent licensing and enforcement company. Prior to this, Gomez was a partner at Pennie & Edmonds, where he practiced patent litigation, counseling, and licensing in a wide variety of areas, including telecom, semiconductors, circuit design, biotech, and pharmaceuticals.
Gomez received his JD from Georgetown University in 1995 and a BS in applied mathematics from Columbia University in 1988.
GPC, headquartered in Suffern, NY, is an IP boutique focusing on patent licensing and enforcement, and IP strategy and valuation.
