BD Increases Dividend Payment

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Becton Dickinson today said that it will pay a quarterly dividend of $.45 per common share to its shareholders.

The dividend is payable on Dec. 30 to holders of record on Dec. 12. The dividend is an increase of $.04 over the firm's dividend for the prior quarter.

Earlier this month BD reported a 10 percent increase for its fourth-quarter revenues year over year to $2.05 billion and a 6 percent jump in fiscal-year 2011 revenues to $7.83 billion.
