Sequenom Taps Bioneer to Distribute Products in South Korea

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) — Bioneer will exclusively distribute and market Sequenom’s genetic analysis products in South Korea, the firms said today.
 
Under a separate agreement, Bioneer will also operate a core facility that will provide contract services for human, livestock, and agricultural applications throughout South Korea using Sequenom's MassARRAY system and consumable products, the partners said.
 
Specifically, Bioneer will offer MassARRAY-based products and service for fine mapping genotyping, gene and biomarker discovery, validation, screening, DNA methylation marker pattern analysis, and quantitative gene-expression analysis, the companies said.
 
Sequenom and Bioneer said that it is possible Bioneer’s operation could expand into additional territories and markets.
