Genetix, of New Milton, UK, has appointed Rod Wing, director of the Clemson University Genomics Institute in Clemson, SC, to its scientific advisory board.

Wing, who received his PhD in genetics from the University of California, Davis, has published numerous papers in the field of plant genomics, and has identified pest resistance genes in barley and rice.

Genetix, which manufactures arraying instruments, said it has appointed Wing to its advisory board in order to strengthen its efforts in plant functional genomics.
