Avacta has named Trevor Nicholls as a non-executive director.

Nicholls is currently the chief executive of CAB International, a nonprofit. He is also non-executive chairman of Activiomics. He previously was chief commercial officer and executive vice president of Affymetrix. He also cofounded and was CEO of Oxagen.

Wethersby, UK-based Avacta is readying a high-density protein array platform for a 2014 launch (BAN 3/12/2013).
