Empire Genomics has hired Theresa Brown as its clinical laboratory director. She will head the firm's new lab at the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus in upstate New York.
Brown has spent the past decade as director of cytogenetic reference labs at IMPATH, Genzyme Genetics, and CSI Laboratories, Empire said. Her area of expertise is in cytogenetics of leukemias and lymphomas, with experience in establishing and growing new clinical labs.
