People in the News: Rebecca Chambers, Bill Colston


Rebecca Chambers has joined Illumina as senior director of investor relations, the San Diego-based genetic analysis tools firm said during its third-quarter conference call this week. Chambers joins the firm from Myriad Genetics, where she was head of investor relations and corporate communications.

Rheonix has named Bill Colston to its board of directors, the company said this week. Colston is the former CEO of QuantaLife, which was acquired by Bio-Rad Laboratories in 2011. Before founding QuantaLife in 2008, Colston had a 19-year career at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Ithaca, NY-based Rheonix sells its Hy-Fi microarray platform for biomarker discovery and clinical diagnostics (BAN 12/20/2011).
