Illumina has appointed Laura Lauman to be vice president of marketing. In leading global marketing efforts, she will assume the responsibilities of Omead Ostadan, who has taken a new executive leadership role with the company.

Lauman formerly was president of AB Sciex and she spent 15 years at Life Technologies and Applied Biosystems, where she was division president and general manager of ABI's Proteomics and Small Molecule Division. She also held commercial and business leadership roles at PerkinElmer and Waters.
