QuantumDx CEO Elaine Warburton will become an Officer of the Order of the British Empire, the Newcastle, UK-based molecular diagnostics firm announced recently.

Warburton cofounded QuantumDx in 2008. The British biotechnology firm is developing several point-of-care tests on a number of platforms, including a nanowire array-based biosensor. QuantumDx said that Warburton is receiving the OBE in recognition of her work with QuantumDx and other healthcare-focused companies and initiatives.
