Gyros has appointed Dan Calvo to serve as president and CEO. He replaces Erik Walldén, who had served in the same roles since 2009.
Calvo previously served as president and CEO of Oncoimmune USA. He held the same positions at Assay Designs and Cellomics. Oncoimmune USA, Assay Designs, and Cellomics have since been acquired by Health Discovery Lab, Enzo Biochem, and Thermo Fisher, respectively.
Uppsala, Sweden-based Gyros sells a microfluidics-based platform for performing immunoassays.
