Aushon BioSystems has appointed Sven Beushausen to be its new chief scientific officer. He joins the Billerica, Mass.-based microarray technologies firm from Pfizer, where he served as molecular medicine site leader. Beushausen also has held other senior scientific positions within Pfizer, and previously served as director of manufacturing technologies for Invitrogen (now Life Technologies).

Adesto Technologies has appointed Nelson Chan to its board of directors. Chan was previously the CEO of Magellan Navigation and the executive vice president and general manager of consumer business at SanDisk. He currently serves on the board of directors of Affymetrix, Bridgelux, Nanosys, and Synaptics.
