Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator Pat Brown has been elected to the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences, the academy said this week.

Brown has been an HHMI investigator since 2002. He is a professor of biochemistry at the Stanford University School of Medicine.
