Guenter Bauer has been named chief business officer at Scienion, the firm said this week. Bauer previously served as director of business collaboration at PerkinElmer Cellular Technologies Germany. Prior to joining PE, he held senior management positions at Evotec, including CBO of its Evotec Technologies subsidiary.


Qiagen has hired Tom Clement as vice president of regulatory and clinical affairs. He joins the firm from Roche Molecular Systems, where he was vice president of quality and regulatory. He has also held positions at Organon Teknika, Amersham, Biotech Research Laboratories, and elsewhere.
