Verinata Health has tapped Noah Nasser, Suzanne Yokota, and Xitong Li to develop its next-generation sequencing-based fetal diagnostic testing business.
Nasser, who formerly was a business unit manager for molecular diagnostics at Quidel, will be Verinata's vice president of sales and market development. Yokota, who will be Verinata's new VP of marketing and commercial operations, started with the company last year and formerly was commercial director at Satoris, prior to which she held several management posts at Affymetrix. Li, who will be Verinata's director of bioinformatics, was associate director of bioinformatics at Genomic Health, and worked previously at Ingenuity Systems and Novartis.
Lophius Biosciences has hired Karl Kleine as head of quality management and Kornelia Schlombs to serve as scientific project manager for molecular biology.
Kleine formerly was involved in quality management at Cogenics, and before that he worked at Epidauros Biotechnologies. Schlombs previously was in charge of genotyping studies at Epidauros.
