Bassem Bejjani has left Signature Genomics. With Lisa Shaffer, Bejjani co-founded Signature in 2003 and most recently served as the company's chief medical officer. Prior to his tenure at Signature, he was an associate director of the Kleberg Cytogenetics Laboratory at Baylor College of Medicine.

PerkinElmer acquired Spokane, Wash.-based Signature last year (BAN 4/20/2011).


23andMe has appointed Ashley Dombkowski to be its chief business officer, where she will be responsible for the firm's translational collaboration initiatives. Dombkowski, who was previously a member of the company's board of directors, spent 10 years at MPM Capital as managing director and was also a healthcare analyst at Tiger Management and Dresdner RCM Global Investors.
