Ocimum to Offer Affy Services in Europe

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Ocimum Biosolutions said today that it will offer genomic services on Affymetrix's platform in Europe.

Ocimum said that it will provide genomic and gene expression analysis services out of its IJsselstein facility in the Netherlands.

"With the introduction of Affymetrix based genomics services in Europe, we are now available at the doorsteps of leading life science companies and research centers in Europe," Ocimum CEO Anu Acharya said in a statement.

Ocimum bought the Gene Logic genomics services business in 2007 for $10 million.
