Affymetrix this week launched the SNP 6.0 Core Reagent Kit. The kit includes pre-mixed and validated reagents for nearly every step in the firm's SNP Array 6.0 assay.

According to Affy, its new kit eliminates the need for mixing buffers, reduces the need to order from multiple vendors, and enables easier inventory management with a single kit expiration date. The new reagent kit can be used with genomic DNA from blood, saliva, and cell lines, as well as whole-genome-amplified DNA, the firm said.
