Geospiza this week launched upgraded versions of its GeneSifter Lab Edition and GeneSifter Analysis Edition software.

GeneSifter Lab Edition will now support microarray instruments from Affymetrix and Illumina, enabling management, distribution and storage of microarray data to complement the GeneSifter Analysis Edition offering, the company said.

CLC Bio last week launched CLC Main Workbench version 5.0 and CLC Genomics 3.0.1.

Main Workbench 5.0 now supports both microarray- and sequencing-based expression data, along with new visualization options for expression analysis, including an interactive heat map and scatter plot views, the company said.

CLC Genomics 3.0.1 corrects issues related to version 3 that involved the trimming of NGS data, contig views, filter changing, assembling mixes of paired ends and importing of files based on Applied Biosystems' SOLiD data.
