MWG Biotech of Ebersberg, German, and Hitachi Software Engineering of Tokyo this week announced a collaboration on microarrays.

Financial details were not disclosed.

HSW acquired exclusive rights to use MWG Biotech's oligo set technology in its DNA microarray products for use solely in Japan. The products will be labeled “MWG Inside,” MWG said in a statement.

Initially, HSW will use MWG's oligo sets of the complete genomes for human and mouse.
