MWG Biotech of Ebersberg, Germany, last week rolled out two microplate reader systems.The company introduced the dual optics MWG Sirius HT reader and the MWG Discovery HT-R. The MWG Sirius HT is designed for fluorescence and time-resolved fluorescence and luminescence readings as well as absorption readings, without filters, and can be integrated into all MWG Biosystems robots, as well as in any other commercial lab automation system. The MWG Discovery HT-R with monochromator is an eight-channel spectrophotometer instrument with a reading time of 5 seconds per 96-well plate and 11 seconds per 384-well plate. Both readers come with the KC4 data analysis and reduction software. KC4 complies with FDA regulations.
