Matthew Posard has joined Illumina as vice president of marketing, the firm said last week.
Posard joins Illumina from Biosite where he held various sales and marketing director positions. Prior to Biosite, Posard held several marketing positions at Gen-Probe.
Posard holds a BA in quantitative economics and decision science from the University of California, San Diego.
HistoRx has added three senior managers to focus on its Aqua platform, the company announced last week.
The new team includes Donna Marino, vice president of diagnostics, Lorah Perlee, president of technical operations, and Robert Tuttle, director of bioinformatics.
Marino comes to HistoRx from Genomic Healthcare Strategies, where she was a principal. She has also worked at the Unite Acquisition Group, Unilever, Grand Metropolitan and Laderle Laboratories. At HistoRx she will lead the diagnostics business unit and hire a team to bring the tests to market.
Perlee was previously director of scientific applications at Protedyne. She has also held positions at Molecular Staging, Diagxotics, and Lifecodes. At HistoRx Perlee will oversee core services.
Tuttle was previously at CuraGen as bioinformatics systems manager. He has held senior positions at Turbogenomics and Gerber Scientific. He will lead commercial development of HistoRx's Aqua platform.

Ariadne Genomics this week released PathwayStudio 4.0, an upgraded version of its PathwayAssist software that contains new tools for microarray data analysis and pathway dynamics simulation, as well as over 1,000 reconstructed pathways, the company said.
New features and functionality include a pathway simulation module to explore the dynamic behavior of pathways, new tools for building relevance networks from the gene expression data, and Ariadne's MedScan Reader biomedical literature browser, Ariadne said. PathwayStudio 4.0 also comes with ResNet Core, a database of 50,000 validated facts and more than 1,000 reconstructed pathways, which can be extended to over 800,000 facts available in the ResNet 4.0 database.
Genedata this week launched Genedata Expressionist Pro 3.0, an upgraded version of its data integration, processing, and analysis tool, the company said.
According to Genedata, the system now adds support for proteomics- and metabolomics-based biomarker studies and exploits Genedata's client-server architecture for processing of mass spectrometry data. Expressionist Pro 3.0 also features a server-based multi-level memory caching system that enables processing of MS chromatograms, the company said.
