Martine Piccart, Christos Sotiriou, Anne-Lise Børresen-Dale, Alan Hollingsworth, David Barker, and Mostafa Ronaghi

DiaGenic this week said that four international experts on breast cancer have joined its scientific advisory board.
The Norwegian diagnostics company named Martine Piccart and Christos Sotiriou,both professors of oncology at the Université Libre de Bruxelles in Brussels, Anne-Lise Børresen-Dale, head of the department of genetics at the Norwegian Radium Hospital in Oslo, Norway, and Alan Hollingsworth, the medical director of Mercy Women’s Center of Oklahoma City, to its SAB.

Microchip Biotechnologies, an early-stage company developing nanofluidic sample preparation and analysis tools, has named David Barker and Mostafa Ronaghi to its board of directors.

Barker is vice president and chief scientific officer of Illumina. Ronaghi is the co-founder of several biotech companies, including Pyrosequencing, ParAllele Biosciences, and NextBio. He is currently a principal investigator at the Stanford University Genome Center.
