Leroy Hood, Peter Roberts

NimbleGen Systems said this week that Leroy Hood has joined its scientific advisory board.
Hood is co-founder and president of the Institute for Systems Biology. He holds an MD from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and a PhD in biochemistry from the California Institute of Technology.

Peter Roberts has been named director of science at VizX Labs, the company said this week.
Prior to joining VizX, Roberts served as Celera Genomics' senior manager of bioinformatics. Previous positions include leadership and scientific roles at divisions of Serono and Genzyme
Roberts holds a PhD in microbiology from Montana State University and a BSc from the University of Warwick in Coventry, UK.
