Kerry Flom, Waun Ki Hong, Jay Tischfield, David Alberts, Michael Hogan


Kerry Flom has joined Cepheid as vice president of clinical affairs, the company announced on June 30. Most recently, he directed the clinical and regulatory submissions group at Abbott Molecular Diagnostics. Prior to that, he directed the clinical affairs departments at Vysis. Flom holds a PhD in biochemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Waun Ki Hong of the MD Anderson Cancer Center at the University of Texas, Jay Tischfield of the Rutgers University Department of Genetics, and David Alberts of the Arizona Cancer Center at the University of Arizona join GenVault’s new scientific advisory board. Michael Hogan, chief scientific officer, will serve as director of the board, the company said this week.
