PamGene, of Den Bosch, Netherlands, has appointed J.A.M. (Hans) van Beek, 40, as vice president of business development and Nadia Danhash as business manager.
Van Beek comes to the Dutch maker of porous chips from Crystallics, a biotechnology company that serves the pharmaceutical industry.
Danhash, who before joining PamGene worked at Amersham Pharmacia Biotech (now Amersham Biosciences), was hired to further the partnership between PamGene and Olympus Optical of Japan, to make instruments to read the companys PamChip.
Motorola Life Sciences has appointed Gary Thomas as its first-ever customer support director. Thomas comes to Motorola from Beckman Coulter, where he spent 19 yers and was responsible for Central US and Canada customer service and administrative operations.
