Invitrogen last week launched its PureLink RNA Mini Kit, which enables purification of total RNA from a wide range of cell and tissue types in less than 20 minutes. 
 
The protocol requires no phenol/chloroform extraction or ethanol precipitation, and allows the purification of up to 1,000 milligrams of total RNA.
 

According to Invitrogen, the resulting RNA is appropriate for amplification for microarray analysis.
