Spanish Bioinformatics Shop Integromics Joins Affy's GeneChip Program
Integromics this week said its ArrayHub software has achieved GeneChip-compatible status with the Affymetrix’s GeneChip platform.
According to the Spanish bioinformatics firm, ArrayHub enables clients to store, organize, and analyze data in microarray experiments, including descriptive information for tasks performed during experiments such as experimental factors, hybridization, samples, images, and files.

U Rochester Buys BioForce Nano eNabler Arrayer
BioForce Nanosciences last week said that it has placed a Nano eNabler arrayer system at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, NY.
According to BioForce, the Nano eNabler will be used by several research groups at U Rochester to explore protein array resolution limits, and print arrays on different substrate materials using different immobilization chemistries.
Last month, the company placed a system with Institute for Optical Sciences in Toronto. BioForce Product Manager Michael Lynch said in a statement that the Iowa-based firm anticipates that it will have sold 20 systems by the end of this year.
Gene Logic Licenses Gene Express' Gene Expression Tools
Gene Logic this week said it has licensed Gene Express’s StaRT-PCR technology and its SEM Center gene-expression tools.
This is the first such licensing agreement for Gene Express’s SEM Center, the company said.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
