Genedata has released Expressionist Pro for analyzing transcriptomics and proteomics data side-by-side. The combined product is based on the company’s Expressionist and Impressionist systems. The software integrates transcriptomics and proteomics workflows, offers integrated statistical analysis, and facilitates integration of metabolomics data into transcriptomics and proteomics workflows, the company said.
Taiwan’s Precision Instrument Development Center last week launched a portable biochip-based device for testing blood for the early detection of heart attacks, according to a report by the publication Taiwan News. The device uses fluorescence markers to bind to myoglobins. The device uses 0.2 cubic centimeters of blood for testing.
