CombiMatrix Molecular Diagnostics, Hospital for Sick Children

CombiMatrix Molecular Diagnostics last month launched its ATScan suite of tests to detect genomic copy-number variations associated with autism spectrum disorder.
The bacterial artificial chromosome-based test uses comparative genomic hybridization to confirm the disorder in children in order to assist in monitoring and treatment.
The ATScan test was developed in partnership with Steve Scherer of the Center for Applied Genomics at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, as well as other experts, CombiMatrix said.
