Axon Instruments this week introduced the GenePix Autoloader 4200AL, an add-on to the comp-any’s newest model microarray scanners. The autoloader loads up to 36 standard (1 by 3 inch) microarray slides to automate the process of scanning and analysis. The tool will provide line-by-line dynamic autofocusing for field uniformity. The GenePix Autoloader is designed as an upgrade for Axon’s GenePix Professional 4200A microarray scanner. It sells for a suggested price increment of $20,000 to any other configuration of the instrument.
VizX Labs of Seattle last week announced the release of version 2004.2 of its GeneSifter microarray analysis system. The product upgrade includes a new pathways report, streamlined support for Affymetrix GEO datasets, CLARA (Clustering LARge Applications) clustering analytics, Boxplot visualization graphics and enhanced Gene Ontologies operations, the company said. The upgrade is available at no cost to new and existing users.
