Arrayit has been awarded two separate contracts for its microarray manufacturing services: one with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and another with Sandia National Laboratories.
Under the terms of the agreement with the CDC, announced last week, the company will manufacture peptide arrays for detecting infectious agents that could be used in a bioterror attack.
In the Sandia agreement, Arrayit will use its nanotechnology manufacturing platform to create microarrays and biosensors to detect biological and chemical agents used in terrorist attacks.
Financial terms were not disclosed for either agreement.
