Anna Astriab-Fisher has been named vice president of assay development at GenTel BioSciences, the Madison, Wis.-based protein-array company said last week.

Prior to joining GenTel, Astriab-Fisher worked in the technology-development department of GlaxoSmithKline where she specialized in immunoassay protocols.


Sigma-Aldrich's board of directors elected Steven Paul to be a company director, Sigma said last week.
 
Paul currently is executive vice president for science and technology and president of the Lilly Research Laboratories of Eli Lilly.
 
Before working at Eli Lilly, Paul served as scientific director of the National Institutes of Health.
