Affymetrix, GWC Technologies

Affymetrix this week launched its GeneChip Command Console Software, part of a software suite that enables researchers and clinicians to extract and analyze microarray data and supports all cartridge-based GeneChip arrays with a file-based system designed for easy data sharing, a streamlined workflow, and ease of use.
Affy also sells Expression Console and Genotyping Console software packages. AGCC supports modern laboratory best practices with features for sample and array registration, fluidics and scanning instrument control, as well as automated image processing. It also offers enhanced data management options with extensive search capabilities, desktop and web user interfaces, and simple customization, Affy said.
In addition to Expression Console and Genotyping Console, AGCC can also be integrated with more than 30 leading GeneChip-compatible applications from Affy’s third-party software partners, the company said.

GWC Technologies this week launch its SPRimager II label-free array platform for use in proteomics research and biosensor development.

The platform has been designed specifically for use with GWC’s SpotReady16 substrate, and is interchangeable with standard flow cells and enables a more rapid exchange of analytes, according to the firm.
